I can't seem to see far-off signs very well.

You may have hyperopia, which means that your eyeball is too short for the focusing system in your eye. Instead of on your retina, the lens focuses behind the retina. 

 

You should visit an opthalmologist, or an optometrist. 

You may have myopia, which means that your eyeball is too long for the focusing system in your eye. Instead of on your retina, the lens focuses in front of the retina. 

 

You should visit an opthalmologist or an optometrist.

You may have cataracts. Don't worry, cataracts are a very normal part of aging. This is when the lens in your eye gets cloudy and unclear.

 

Visit an opthalmologist, and they will decide whether surgery is necessary. Often, it is not. 

You may have dry eyes. This means that the lubricating systems in your eyes are not doing their jobs properly. So, you should try a warm compress or eye drops.

 

If your condition does not change, visit an opthalmologist, because your problem may lie in something else. 

Objects seem smeared and hazy, and its hard to see at night. 
My eyes are watering and are red. It feels like there is sand in it.
